GA4 Purchase Insights, Ad Performance Objective, Improved Drill-Downs

We're excited to announce a slew of new features on Narrative BI designed to streamline your growth insights. From improving e-commerce conversion analytics to refining ad performance objectives, these updates will help you strategize for growth. Here's a detailed rundown of what’s new:

GA4 Purchase Insights

Conversions are pivotal to any e-commerce business, and we recognize that. Previously, we added GA4 Revenue Insights. To further support e-commerce businesses, D2C brands, and marketplaces, we're introducing GA4 Purchase Insights. Now, you can delve deeper into e-commerce purchase conversions: simply filter your feed using the #purchases tag or select the Conversion objective.

Ad Performance Objective

We've heard your feedback: Ad Performance Insights are invaluable, but they can be hard to locate in the feed. To simplify this, we've consolidated all Ad Performance insights into a dedicated view. Now, you don't have to sift through your feed to find these insights. They're all right where you expect them to be. Haven’t connected your advertising sources yet? Try it now!

Improved Drill-Downs

You asked for a more comprehensive view, and we listened. Narrative BI now offers single-metric drill-downs (in addition to multi-dimensional). You can now break down key metrics across channels for a more complete view of your data.

Examples of Metrics to Drill-Down:

  • Google Ads
    • Impressions, broken down by ad groups
    • CTR, broken down by ad groups
    • Clicks, broken down by ad groups
  • GA4
    • Sessions, broken down by pages
    • Users, broken down by sources
    • Pageviews, broken down by pages
  • Facebook Ads
    • Impressions, broken down by ads
    • Clicks, broken down by ad sets

With this new feature, GA4 Conversion Insights became even more granular, as conversions are now broken down by types.

We recognize there’s no universal approach for reporting, so we continue improving the customization options of reports. Our revamped GA4 reports now include top channels, filling a crucial gap that existed in previous versions. To include Top Channels in your GA4 reports, make sure to enable the Conversion objective.

Improved Calendar Filter

Narrative BI's calendar filter has been fine-tuned to show narratives filtered by the date of the actual insight rather than the date of insight generation. This subtle but important change ensures that you're always looking at the most relevant data.
